Ohio State Recruiting: Prep Report
By Tony Gerdeman

It was another hard-fought week on the gridiron for the future Buckeyes, as there was a healthy mix of blowouts and close decisions among the 2013 commitments.

And yes, Ezekiel Elliott continued his rampage against Missouri high school defenses. Somebody in that state needs to build a better mouse trap.

Tyquan Lewis (DE/OLB), Tarboro, NC Tarboro HS
Lewis tweeted that he had two sacks in his team's 47-16 win over Greene Central to move Tarboro to a perfect 6-0 on the season.

Tim Gardner (OL), Indianapolis, IN Lawrence Central HS
Gardner helped his Lawrence Central team move to 7-0 with a dominating 47-6 win over Southport.

Taivon Jacobs (WR), District Heights, MD Suitland HS
The big plays continued for Jacobs, who led Suitland to a 26-14 win over C.H. Flowers. Jacobs finished with 142 yards receiving, scoring twice. The first came on a 44-yard catch and run on a crossing route and the second happened when he caught a 70-yard touchdown pass on a streak down the sideline. He also added a 42-yard punt return to set up his team's first scoring drive. Suitland improved to 5-0 on the season.

Michael Hill (DT), Pendleton, SC Pendleton HS
A 20-10 loss to Crescent moved Pendleton to 3-3 on the season.

Darron Lee (ATH), New Albany, OH New Albany HS
New Albany gutted out a 26-13 win over Delaware Hayes to improve to 4-2 on the season. Lee finished with one touchdown pass.

Johnny Townsend (P), Orlando, FL Boone HS
Boone was upset 29-28 at home by Apopka Wekiva. Boone falls to 2-2 on the season as Wekiva recorded their first win of the season.

Joey Bosa (DL), Fort Lauderdale, FL St. Thomas Aquinas
St. Thomas Aquinas moved to 3-1 with a 65-20 blowout victory over Hollywood McArthur.

J.T. Barrett (QB), Wichita Falls, TX Rider HS
Barrett had a very good night in leading Rider to a 50-14 win over Byron Nelson (the high school, not the golfer who lived from 1912 to 2006). Barrett threw for 162 yards with a touchdown and also rushed for 130 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The win improved Rider to 3-1.

Tracy Sprinkle (DL), Elyria, OH Elyria HS
Sprinkle finished with eight tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, three quarterback hurries and one pass deflection in Elyria's 49-20 win over Valley Forge. Elyria is now 4-2 on the season.

Marcus Baugh (TE), Riverside, CA J.W. North HS
For the first time in a while, there are some statistics to report for Baugh, who finished with four receptions for 78 yards, scoring twice. J.W. North defeated Vista del Lago 51-6 to move to 2-3 on the season.

Ezekiel Elliott (RB), St. Louis, MO, John Burroughs HS
Elliott scored on a 65-yard touchdown run on the first play from scrimmage in John Burroughs' 33-7 win over Westminster Christian. He finished with 20 carries for 238 yards and two touchdowns. He also had a touchdown taken off of the board when a teammate was flagged for unsportsmanlike conduct.

Jayme Thompson (DB), Toledo, OH, Central Catholic HS
Thompson and his Central Catholic team moved to 6-0 with a 42-21 win over Fremont Ross.

Evan Lisle (OT), Centerville, OH, Centerville HS
Centerville improved to 4-2 on the season with a 17-13 win over Kettering Fairmont. Lisle helped the Elks rush for over 200 yards in the victory.

Eli Woodard (CB), Voorhees, NJ, Eastern HS
Woodard did a little bit of everything in leading his Eastern team to a 28-21 double-overtime win against Rancocas Valley, including blocking a field goal and catching a 71-yard touchdown pass. Along with his typically solid defensive effort, he added over 100 receiving yards on the day.

Billy Price (DL/OL), Youngstown, OH, Austintown Fitch
Fitch improved to 6-0 on the season with a 56-7 win over Youngstown East.

Jalin Marshall (QB), Middletown, OH, Middletown HS
Despite Marshall's best efforts, Middletown fell 27-26 to Oak Hills, dropping their record to 2-4. According to BuckeyeGrove.com, Marshall rushed 18 times for 153 yards, scoring twice, including a 56-yarder. He also threw for 81 yards.

Cameron Burrows (DB), Trotwood, OH, Trotwood HS
Trotwood didn't mess around, taking it to Piqua with a 42-0 all-around team effort. The Rams improved to 4-2.
