A Closer Look at Urban’s Coaching Staff

COLUMBUS, Ohio — Urban Meyer has finally completed his first coaching staff at Ohio State.

The University announced last week that 52-year old Bill Sheridan would handle the responsibility of coaching the cornerbacks for Meyer and OSU defensive coordinator Luke Fickell.

It was not known exactly what role they would use for Sheridan, a 31-year coaching veteran who served as the defensive coordinator for the New York Giants in 2009. The Detroit native spent most of his career coaching either the defensive line or linebackers, which is the position he coached the last two years with the Miami Dolphins.

However, the Buckeyes needed a replacement for Taver Johnson, who left the program in January to become co-defensive coordinator under Paul Haynes at the University of Arkansas.

Sheridan will work with new co-defensive coordinator Everett Withers coaching Ohio State’s secondary. We take a closer look at Meyer’s entire staff, including Mickey Marotti and his full-time strength staff.
