We're reposting this item this morning because we really want you to see it. It embodies what Ohio State football has meant to so many; far, far beyond wins and losses. It's OSU All-American John Hicks' speech upon being inducted into the Rose Bowl hall of fame.
Do yourself a favor. Check this out.

the-Ozone Announcement: With all the excitement over the Rose Bowl we haven't mentioned this for a while.
We certainly hope you are enjoying our Rose Bowl coverage. Our reality, however, is that those credit card bills will be coming in soon for the cost of sending a portion of our staff to Los Angeles to bring you that coverage.
If you haven't yet, and can see your way clear to do so, please take the time to participate in our fund raiser. A total of 543 people have donated just under 24,000 dollars so far, but that's still just over 6,000 shy of what we feel our needs are to be able to continue the level of coverage we enjoy providing for you.

the-Ozone Announcement: Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. The spirit of the giving season seems to have arrived at the-Ozone.
We had a very nice surge in donations over the last four days and raised our total from around 20,500 to almost just short of 23,000 dollars. We are still well-short of our 30,000 goal, but now have some glimmer of hope of getting there before the Rose Bowl.
If you have qualified for a free book from Triumph books you should have by now received instructions on how to claim it by now . If not, please contact us and we will get them to you. This is most likely to be a problem if you donated by mail or if you made more than one donation that totaled 60 or more dollars.
We're still hoping to get to our goal by the Rose Bowl. If you haven't participated in our fund raiser, now would be a great time.

the-Ozone Announcement: As you know we are in the midst of a very important fund raiser, the-Ozone Expansion Bridge Fundraiser. To date, just over 20,000 dollars have been raised toward our goal of 30,000. A total of 469 the-Ozone readers have made donations thus far.
The purpose of the fundraiser is to build a financial bridge until we can realize the advertising income we are now beginning to earn. Until then, we need your help, particularly with the major expense of bowl coverage looming. You can help by using the Paypal link adjacent to our navigation buttons or by mailing a check to the address below that link.
On the topic of advertising revenue, we have been trying to balance our need for income with our desire not to overwhelm our readership with ads. We think we have recently put into place a program that will help us do just that.
We have established The-Ozone.net Revenue Share Advertising Partners program. The participating companies do not pay us ad fees. Instead, they give us a share of the revenue on sales generated for them by the-Ozone. The criteria for making our list includes, among other things, that the companies be interesting and their web sites be fun to visit.
We will limit that program to 40 companies, but more importantly, we will not overwhelm you with their ads. Instead, we will rotate their ads on our pages on a limited basis and then maintain a listing of those companies with links to that listing from key pages from the-Ozone. We will have a weekly featured company. From time to time we will also announce special offers from the participating companies as well as additions and deletions to our list.
Today we would like to announce a promotion from La Cense grass fed beef.
The sale is price is available through the end of December. To qualify for the discount use the coupon code on the image at right.
We would also like to welcome the newest participant on our list, Executive Essentials. Executive Essentials offers fine writing instruments at unbeatable prices. You can find brands like Cross, Mont Blanc, Parker, Movado, Faber-Castell and many, many others on the Executive Essentials web site.
Check out our list of partners by following the link below. We think you'll enjoy the rather eclectic list and the web sites.

Women's Basketball: The Buckeyes traveled to Mississippi on Sunday to take on Ole Miss and pulled off one of the best wins in recent years.
Ole Miss took a 10-point lead with just 2:58 remaining in the game but the Buckeyes finished the game with a 12-0 run for a dramatic 79-77 come-from-behind road victory.
OSU star Jantel Lavender had perhaps the toughest day of her Buckeye career. She did register 15 points and 10 rebounds, but also committed 10 turnovers. Lavender was on the bench over the last four and a half minutes of the game. Reserve Andrea Walker came on in relief of Lavender in crunch time and performed brilliantly scoring four of OSU's 12 points in the run. Walker made two free throws with 14 seconds remaining to give OSU a one-point lead. Walker was also instrumental on OSU's final defensive stand to seal the win.
Five Buckeyes scored in double figures led by sophomore point guard Samantha Prahalis with 17 points and six assists.
OSU's bench outscored the Ole Miss bench 20-9, led by Maria Moeller's 10.
