Bridgethe-Ozone Announcement: We're getting there, but we're not quite there yet.

Our fund raiser total now stands at just under 27,000 dollars. That's 10 percent shy of our goal of 30,000.

That last 10 percent is very important to us. We hope you enjoyed our Rose Bowl coverage and our ongoing coverage of OSU football, basketball and other sports. At a time when advertising prices are low however, it is imperative for us to raise funds in order to continue our coverage and grow it in new and interesting ways.

If you have not yet participated in our fund raiser, why not do it today and help us reach our goal. No donation is too small, every dollar helps. Besides, we're going to continue to remind you to get on board until we get to our goal, so you may as well go ahead and get it out of the way now.

If you can send us 50 dollars, we can still send you our three-newspaper set of Columbus Dispatch Rose Bowl issues. The set includes this year's paper covering OSU's win over Oregon as well as the the 1997 issues with postgame coverage of OSU's win over Arizona State as well as the Rose Bowl Commemorative that was issued a week later. Photos of the front pages are below.

A donation of 60 dollars still qualifies for a free OSU book from Triumph Books.

Bridgethe-Ozone Announcement: We have something special for those of you who would like to help support the-Ozone.

Our fundraiser total now stands right at 24, 000 dollars. We appreciate all who have acted to make that total what it is, but it is still 6,000 dollars short of our goal.

We want to make that goal, so we have a special incentive to offer you today. Here's the scoop.

On Wednesday, January 1, 1997, Joe Germaine led Ohio State to a win over No. 2 Arizona State in the Rose Bowl. On Thursday, January 2, 1997, Mr. Ed went down to the Columbus Dispatch and bought all the newspapers he could. There were about 175 of them.
